My Indie Comic Journey
It might not look like it, but comics are my passion. I can't stop imagining what it would be like swinging around New York City like I'm Spider-Man. And I'm a 26 year-old man!
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that I am an indie comic creator myself! I am in the process of making my first graphic novel, Echoes of the Triumphant! It combines the genres of science-fiction and crime dramas to make for one kick-ass thriller!
In my experience, I have had two moderately successful kickstarters. Any help to bring this vision to life is greatly appreciated!
I will post Echoes of the Triumphant issue #1 on Substack for free in March 2023. I plan on having most of my content on for free. I will eventually post paid content. This will include Behind-the-scenes content for Echoes of the Triumphant, early access to future comic issues and I’ll do my best to inject you into the narrative! In my previous kickstarters, I had a fun reward where backers would write me a character than I injected into future Echoes of the Triumphant scripts!
At this stage, the plan to bring my indie graphic novel to life is as follows.
The Plan
The first complete arc spans from issue #1 to #4.
So far, I have finished versions of issues #1 and #2. Both issues have 32 pages of story. They are both fully colored and inked. I plan on retconning a couple of things from those issues. After I have issues #3 and #4 finished, I will go back and make some changes to the first two issues.
Currently, I have 28 out of 32 pages fully inked and colored for issue #3. I have the cover and credits pages ready as well. 4 pages need to be finished. My team also needs time for the lettering process. The final copy of issue #3 should be ready at the end of March 2023.
I also have 11 out of 32 pages fully inked and colored for issue #4. I don’t expect to have issue #4 ready until the end of 2023.
I have most of the script ready for the second arc to Echoes of the Triumphant. I will, however, focus on finishing the first arc before moving onto the second one.
